EVENT SERIES ON DEMOCRACY, SUSTAINABILITY AND FEMINISM

OUR VOICES – OUR PLANET project has started the next round. In 2024 and 2025, various educational events will take place that deal with new perspectives for democracy and sustainability, including feminist perspectives, in global dialog and global learning.

Education activists from the Global North and Global South will why it is worth to have a look at democracy and sustainability from a feminist point of view. The BMZ’s strategy for a feminist development policy serves as a frame of reference.

The next event within this series is an interantional workshop on Digital Civic Spaces in Insecure Contexts. Building skills and4 capacity to navigate and mitigate the impacts of digital technologies. It will take place on March 13, 2025, 2-5 pm CET online via Zoom. In this event, we will discuss with  Marek Tuszynski (Executive Director and co-founder of Tactical Tech) about the most pressing challenges for civil society action created by the use of digital tools and social media, about the basics of preventive digital safety and risk awareness measures to be applied in own contexts. The workshop also provides the main principles and criteria for assessing and deciding what digital tools to choose based on specific individual or organisational situations and needs.
