Self Learning Module
This interactive presentation offers an introduction to the links between sustainability and democracy. Users can explore the content at their own pace and according to their individual level of prior knowledge. The presentation features a variety of formats, including texts, videos, short quizzes, multiple-choice questions, and individual reflection exercises. This low-threshold approach allows users to gain a solid understanding of the topic’s basics. It is divided into three parts: Sustainability, Democracy, and the Relationship between Democracy and Sustainability. A navigation bar at the bottom allows users to move freely back and forth, and "Deepening" buttons offer the opportunity to explore selected topics in more detail. All inputs made during the presentation are saved locally on your device and are not visible to others.

Selma`s Journey
Online Text Adventure Game on Democracy and Sustainability
Selma’s Journey is an interactive text adventure game exploring the challenges and possibilities of democratic engagement for a sustainable and just future. Players follow Selma, a university student and activist from Malawi, as she uncovers environmental destruction and human rights violations caused by a multinational company operating in her country. To fight these practices and determined to take action, Selma travels to Ecuador, Germany, and back to Malawi. Along the way, she meets activists and learns how they work for sustainability, human rights and democracy. Together with Selma, the players solve puzzles, search for clues, and complete small tasks — all while learning about global and local movements and action for sustainability and democracy in a playful way.
The story and all characters and companies are fictitious. But similar things happen in real life all over the world.
