Gaia Sanvicente Traverso is Maia's mother since 2015, a teacher, performer, researcher, and producer. She has over 20 years of experience in extracurricular education. She holds a degree in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2012 and completed her master's degree in 2023 with research in the field of languages, subjectivities, and teacher training. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to the executive production of cultural projects, particularly initiatives funded by public notices, accumulating experience in artistic and pedagogical projects aimed at children.

McArthur Matukuta is the founder of SPT and has been instrumental in ensuring for its growth over the past 26 years. He originally trained in Clinical Medicine before deciding to peruse his love of theatre. Off stage McArthur has worked extensively in theatre management and is the Festival Coordinator of the Blantyre Arts Festival, the Director of Easter Theatre Festival as well as the Executive Director of Solomonic Peacocks Theatre. His ambition is to help establish the creative arts as a business in Malawi to help develop the industry as a realistic career path for both budding and established artists. He is also an expert in theatre for development work in Malawi and is regularly consulted nationally and internationally on the subject.

McArthur Matukuta is experienced in designing and implementation of social and behavior change communication interventions across a wide range of social and development issues. Development of our materials follows a rigorous formative research process which is participatory and ensures that we address barriers emerging from the target audience. McArthur Matukuta has expertise in development and production of mass community mobilization which includes theatre for development and participatory drama activities, advocacy, training in theatre for development as social and behavior change communication.

This project is one area of coperation between the Global north and Global south. We work with school going children in Blantyre City in raising awareness and promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We focus on these SDGs because they directly affect our target group. Since our members are children, we use various methods which are child friendly. We use they're, songs, dances, poems, excursions, seminars, debate, quiz, etc.
