If you are interested to exchange ideas with activists from all over the world on education, democracy, sustainability and global justice etc., you are invited to participate in the Learn2Change online talk.
During the talk in February 2023, the participants will get the chance to hear from Jorge Huichalaf and Jorge Calfuequo about the situation in Chile, in terms of democracy, participation and sustainability, almost a year after the left wing Boric government took over.
Jorge Calfuqueo is principal of the Mapuche-Llaguepulli School. He will talk about how the school contributes to the empowerment of indigenous people and the preservation of the rights of nature with an alternative curriculum.
Jorge Huichalaf is a teacher at the Koyam School and works furthermore in cooperation with other rural Mapuche schools. He is founding and former board member of Mapuche Küme Mogen Indigenous Savings and Credit Cooperative. In addition, he is founding member of the Learn2Change network.
