The current situation in Afghanistan is one of THE news topics in many countries of the world. Almost daily there are new attacks with deaths and injuries. The long-term military mission of the NATO and its partners USA, Germany and others was supposed to fight the Taliban and bring democracy to the country. Now the military mission has ended and the Taliban are back in power.
How could this happen? What does this mean for the people in Afghanistan? What can girls and women expect in the coming period?
Dr Frangis Dadfar Spanta will answer these and many other questions in an online talk on 16 September 2021. From 4 to 5.30 pm CET, the peace and conflict researcher will explain what is currently happening in Afghanistan and offer space for exchange.
The online talk will take place in English via Zoom.
